CallSlate turns your shooting schedule into a live countdown on your phone, Lock Screen and Apple Watch. If something is not working, or you have an idea for the app, this page is the place to start.

We aim to reply within two working days. CallSlate is made by a small team, so it can occasionally take a little longer around weekends and shoot days.
When you write, it helps enormously if you include:
You can create and run projects within the free plan without an account. Your projects, schedules, crew and gear live on your own device.
Buying or restoring CallSlate Pro requires Sign in with Apple. This links your subscription to your account so it can be recognised after a reinstall or on another device. Schedule sharing is a Pro feature. Signing in does not sync your projects between devices.
Your project library, crew, gear and costs are stored on your iPhone. There is no server-side sync of your full projects. Export a backup before reinstalling or switching phones.
Selected information is sent to our services for these features:
The Privacy Policy explains what each feature sends, what is stored and when it is deleted.
AI extraction is not perfect, especially with unusual call sheet layouts. You can edit every block afterwards.
Two things that usually help: pick just the pages that hold the schedule before importing, and check that the date and start time of the project itself are right.
Subscriptions are handled by Apple, not by us. In CallSlate, open Settings, Plan and choose Manage in the App Store to open Apple's subscription controls. You can also open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Refund requests also go through Apple. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
Open the app once, which brings the card back in step.
If it keeps happening, check that Live Activities are enabled for CallSlate in the iPhone Settings app, and that Low Power Mode is off. Let us know if it persists, and mention roughly when it stopped.
Yes, for the part that matters on a shoot day: your schedule and its countdown live on your device.
Features that need a connection are AI import, sharing, weather and drive times.
Yes, with a share link or QR code. They see a read-only version with the blocks, times and locations. Notes, crew contact details and costs are not included.
A share link expires after 30 days, and you can revoke it earlier from the app.
Apple Maps by default. You can switch to Google Maps or Waze under Settings, Preferences.
No. It reflects weather only. It says nothing about airspace, permits, no-fly zones or local rules. Always check those yourself.
